OMNES CAPITAL The next generation of the strategy, Capenergie 61, will build on the established track record of preceding vintages to advance Omnes%u2019 contribution to the European energy transition. The structural forces shaping the market, including energy sovereignty imperatives, the sustained drive for price competitiveness, and the continued pace of technological progress, are expected to accelerate the transition and will require material ongoing investment, not only in power generation but in the adjacent infrastructure on which a balanced grid depends: storage, network reinforcement, and flexible capacity. Capenergie 6 will target a fund size of between %u20ac2 billion and %u20ac2.5 billion. It will contribute to the same four UN Sustainable Development Goals as Capenergie 4 and Capenergie 5 and is expected to be classified as an Article 9 fund under SFDR, with the sustainable investment objective of accelerating the energy transition through investment in European renewable energy infrastructure platforms.Generation, Flexibility, and the Strategic Role of Battery Energy StorageThe Capenergie strategy was built on solar PV and onshore wind; the track record of Capenergie 4 and 5 validates this foundation. However, it has also created the portfolio and market intelligence to show how the strategy must evolve. As variable generation grows its share of European grids, the energy system increasingly requires dispatchable, flexible capacity to maintain balance. Battery energy storage systems (BESS) are the primary technology through which this flexibility is being delivered at scale and they are now a defined and growing component of the Capenergie strategy. 1. The Capenergie 6 fund is expected to launch in H1 2027.
